What can I do with NeoShot?
Capture webpages, edit and annotate screenshots, record GIFs or videos, and arrange content on a whiteboard. You can export your work, print screenshots, and revisit captures saved in your browser.
Can I use NeoShot without signing in?
Yes. Screenshot capture, basic editing, screenshot export and printing, local capture history, and a single-page whiteboard do not require an account. Free screenshot editing includes text, straight arrows, solid lines, rectangles, circles, freehand drawing, the basic callout, and freeform crop. Screenshot export-quality choices are also Free.
Free recording limits are 10 seconds, up to 1280 pixels on the longest edge, and up to 30 FPS. The initial recording defaults are GIF, 10 seconds, 1280 pixels, 25 FPS, and no audio. These defaults fit within the Free limits. Actual recording performance depends on your device and the page.
What does Pro include?
Pro adds longer recordings, recording quality up to 4K and 60 FPS where supported, selected-frame editing, export speed controls, capture details, toolbar customization, additional whiteboard pages, new custom templates, and multi-page whiteboard batch exports.
Advanced editing includes sticky notes, highlighting, eraser, step markers, blur, image insertion, tables, icons, rulers, additional arrow/line/callout styles, ratio crop, and Trim edges. Availability still depends on the document: for example, erasing is unavailable for GIFs, and Trim edges is a screenshot tool. Features marked with a crown require an active trial or paid Pro plan. All paid plans include the same Pro features.
How does the free trial work?
Eligible accounts receive a 15-day Pro trial when signing in from the NeoShot extension. No card is required, and the trial does not automatically become a paid subscription. One trial is available per account, verified Google identity, and extension installation. Switching accounts on the same installation does not grant another trial. When it ends, you can continue using Free features or choose a paid plan. Signing out and back in does not restart the trial. If you use a shared computer and need help with eligibility, contact support.
Can I buy a plan while my trial is active?
Yes. Choose a plan from the NeoShot page. A purchase is separate from the no-card trial: review the amount and billing schedule at checkout. Do not assume payment will wait until the trial ends or that unused trial time will be added to the paid period.
What do the plans cost?
- Monthly: $2.99/month, renewing until cancelled.
- Yearly: $29.99/year, renewing until cancelled.
- Lifetime: $39.99 once, with no renewals.
Prices are in USD and include applicable taxes. Review the final amount and currency in checkout before paying.
Why does capture fail on some pages?
Chrome restricts capture or extension access on some internal pages, the extension store, and protected content. Try a normal website tab and check the extension's site-access permission. For incomplete full-page captures, let the page finish loading first. Sticky elements, animations, lazy-loaded images, and continuously loading pages can affect stitching.
What happens with very long screenshots?
Very large captures can be split into numbered images in a ZIP file or multiple PDF pages to stay within browser and image-size limits. This technical split of a screenshot does not require Pro.
If the screenshot is too large to copy as one full-size image, NeoShot opens the editor and offers Crop screenshot or Copy reduced-size image. It does not silently put every full-resolution part on the clipboard. Use the full-size downloaded parts when you need all captured detail.
How do I choose what happens after capture?
For screenshots, Settings offers Open in editor, Open in editor and download, Copy to clipboard, and Download only. The first two options are available on Free; automatic clipboard copy and download without the editor require Pro. Using the editor's normal Copy or Download action for a screenshot remains Free.
Recording save behavior has its own settings. Automatic recording save behavior requires Pro; manual saving remains available within Free limits. Clipboard operations depend on browser support and focus. If copying or saving fails, NeoShot keeps the capture available in the editor instead of discarding it.
Why does a GIF look still in another app?
Some apps show only a thumbnail or the first frame of an animated GIF. Open the downloaded GIF in a browser to check playback, then attach the GIF file. The editor's image Copy action is not an animated-GIF file transfer. GIF does not include audio; use MP4 or WebM with recorded audio when available. Changing a silent recording's export format cannot add sound that was never recorded.
How can I make recording and export faster?
Shorter recordings, a smaller captured area, and a lower resolution or frame rate reduce the work needed. Pages with video and motion are more demanding than static text. Close unnecessary tabs and let the export finish. Higher output settings cannot add detail or frames that were not captured in the source.
Where are captures and settings stored?
Captures, editor assets, templates, and preferences are stored locally in the browser profile. Signing in activates account features; it does not upload your capture history or provide a cross-device media backup. Download important work before uninstalling, clearing extension data, or changing browser profiles.
Will signing out remove my captures or settings?
Signing out does not intentionally delete your local captures or ordinary preferences. However, Pro-only settings can reset to Free-compatible choices: automatic clipboard/download-only actions return to the editor, recording values above Free limits are reduced, and capture details are turned off. Signing back into the same account restores access to its active plan, but does not automatically restore every previous Pro-only setting or any local files that were deleted or cleared.
What happens to my work after Pro ends?
Existing work is not intentionally deleted when a trial or paid plan ends. Free screenshot editing and exports remain available. You can edit existing whiteboard pages with Free tools and export them individually; adding pages and exporting multiple whiteboard pages together require Pro. Existing custom templates can still be managed, but creating or duplicating a custom template requires Pro.
An original video download remains Free when the original recording is available, without applying edits or conversion. New recording exports still follow their applicable duration, quality, selected-frame editing, and speed limits. Keep downloaded backups: local storage is not a cloud backup.
What are capture details?
Capture details are an optional Pro export overlay. Available fields include website name, page URL, browser, operating system, date, time, and viewport size. They are off by default. URL parameters are also excluded by default; if enabled, NeoShot redacts parameter names it recognizes as sensitive, but that is not a guarantee that a URL is safe to share. Review the exported information before sharing it.
Can I change the language or reset settings?
Use the extension's language control to choose a supported language. Right-to-left languages adjust the interface direction; your captured image is not mirrored. Settings sections have reset controls that restore that section's defaults without being an account-deletion action.
Where can I see my plan or manage billing?
Open Account & plan with the account used for the purchase. When available, Manage billing opens Dodo Payments for billing records and payment-method options. Use the same Google account in the extension to access Pro.
For cancellation or refund questions, email support@chromextensions.com from your NeoShot account email.
I paid, but Pro is not active. What should I do?
Check that the website and extension use the same Google account, then refresh Account & plan. Access requires verified payment; opening checkout or returning from it is not proof of payment. If you have a receipt but access is still missing, contact support with the order ID. Do not pay again just to refresh your plan.
Can I retry if I close or cancel checkout?
Yes. Return to the NeoShot plans and select a plan again. If payment may already have completed or is still processing, check Account & plan and your receipt before retrying. If checkout remains unavailable, send support the error message without card details or sign-in codes.
How do I cancel renewal or request a refund?
Email support@chromextensions.com from your NeoShot account email, including the plan and order ID if available. For Monthly or Yearly, request cancellation at least 48 hours before renewal. The time we receive your email determines whether the request was made in time. Cancellation stops the next renewal and does not end the current paid period early. Pro remains active until the end of that paid period; Lifetime has no renewal.
Payments are final and non-refundable, including unused time and partially used billing periods. Cancelling a subscription does not provide a refund or credit for the current paid period. This does not limit consumer rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law. See the Cancellation & Refund policy for details.
How do I contact support or report a problem?
Email support@chromextensions.com, or sgtechstack@gmail.com. Include your Chrome and NeoShot versions, the steps to reproduce the issue, and a redacted screenshot if useful. For billing, include your account email, plan, and order ID. Never send passwords, sign-in codes, full card details, or private captures you do not want us to see.
